AMY Winehouse’s old backing band bring a live performance of her celebrated music to Brighton’s Concorde 2 on December 18.
Forever Amy is made up of her original band fronted by soul singer and Winehouse impersonator Alba Plano.
Bass player Dale Davis remains as musical director, just as he was throughout Amy’s career.
A prominent musician in his own right, Davis has toured and recorded with Tina Turner, Paul Young and Hove’s own Norman Cook.
Guitarist Hawie Gondwe will also be present, having performed with Amy Winehouse for the last five years of her career, including her memorable 2008 Glastonbury set.
Since Winehouse’s death, he has performed and recorded with Gnarls Barkley, Sinead O’Connor and the late George Michael.
Forever Amy is the flagship musical project of Retrospective Live, which presents tribute acts to “the most iconic artists and pop music of the last 30 years”.
