JAMES Blunt has announced he will be performing in Brighton later this year.
The You’re Beautiful singer will be playing at the Brighton Centre as part of his 2020 Once Upon a Mind tour.
The singer-songwriter released his first album, Back to Bedlam, in 2004 and has since sold more than 23 million albums worldwide.
His music has earned him two Brit awards, two MTV Video Music Awards and five Grammy Award nominations.
He has also awarded an honorary doctorate for music in 2016 by the University of Bristol.
But the former serviceman, who also has a pilot’s licence, has gained notoriety in recent years for his blunt approach to social media.
One listener contacted the musician criticising his music, saying “Can we all take a moment and remember just how terrible James Blunt was?”
But Mr Blunt quickly assured her, “no need, I have a new album coming soon”.
Tickets go on sale this Friday for £27.90.
These are available on the Brighton Centre website.
This follows an announcement that Irish Scottish rock band Snow Patrol will be performing at the venue later this year.
