Once you step down the Boomtown rabbit hole, your idea of what a festival can be will forever be changed.
With fairytale surroundings, flash-mobbing actors, arts and crafts workshops, pyrotechnics, and a seriously impressive lineup, this never-ending story is one you won’t forget in a hurry.
Celebrating its 10th year from 9th to 12th August, the 60,000-capacity event has been extended to five days, and sees Gorillaz - who released their 5th studio album this year - take to the stage alongside Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, Die Antwoord, Limp Bizkit, Jimmy Cliff, and an eclectic mix of live acts and DJs. Chapter 10 will be opening the doors a day early so people can come down on Wednesday.
Additionally, 2018 welcomes Boomtown Springs, an immersive theatrical camping experience, with pre-pitched boutique accommodation, mansion and pool parties, posh showers and loos, dedicated access to the event, and £100 worth of drinks (per resident) at secret bars within the festival. Tickets are still available at the Boomtown website.
Boomtown is made up of diverse and colourful characters and we welcome all of our public to come as their character and we have also just released our fancy dress themes for Chapter 10 and our costume shop which is all about expressing yourself and being who you want to be.
These are Bohemian Circus, Metropolis and Revolutionary, simply as a guide. Offering a space for freedom of expression, Boomtown encourages you to be who you want to be, in its endlessly inspiring shanty town at the Matterley Estate in Hampshire. The otherworldly event is the fastest-growing festival in the country, selling out every year, although a limited number of tickets are now on resale. More information is here
