FREE vegan burgers are being given away in Sussex this weekend.
The UK's leading vegan campaigners Viva are attempting to show people how delicious vegan burgers can be.
Viva is also trying to convince people that by eating vegan burgers they can help the environment.
The charity's environmental campaign #VeganNow is highlighting the impact animal agriculture is having on the planet and the climate crisis.
Viva argue that animal agriculture is the leading driver of wildlife loss, and say going vegan is the best way to combat climate change, reducing the demand for meat, milk and cheese.
As part of the #VeganNow campaign, Viva is going on a tour of Britain, giving away free vegan burgers to members of the public to encourage them to try being vegan.
The burgers will be served with all the trimmings, including vegan cheese, salad and tomatoes.
Viva's burger van will be in Sussex this weekend and will be open between 12pm and 3pm.
The van will be in New Road, Brighton, on Saturday before driving to Worthing Pier to serve people on Sunday.
The tour will run into the week and will visit Salisbury, Reading and Bath.
Will Sorflaten, Viva senior campaigner, said: "We're hitting the road this summer to show the people of Britain just how tasty and simple it is to make the world a better place, just by eating vegan.
"There has never been a more important time to talk about animal agriculture and the devastating impact it is having on our health and our planet.
"Going vegan is the single biggest action an individual can take to combat climate change - switching beef for beans can literally save our planet.
"All major supermarkets have an incredible range of vegan food now, there has never been a better time – so go on, give it a go."
Founded in 1994 by Juliet Gellatley, the charity has spent more than 25 years trying to create a kinder, more sustainable world for humans and animals alike.
