WITNESSES stood by and watched a man being punched in the head as he walked home.
Police said around 10 people saw the 56-year-old assaulted on Friday near Chapel Royal church, in North Street, Brighton, but no-one came forward to help him. He was left bruised and in pain in the unprovoked attack between 11.40pm and midnight.
The offender - who was white, aged 18 to 22, and wearing a blue hooded top, ran away screaming and shouting. Witnesses can call police on 101 quoting 385 of 13/02.
