This award celebrates those events that pull a community together while making sure everyone has a great time.

It can be any size, from the Brighton Marathon to a Diamond Jubilee street party.

Nominations can come from organisers, supporters or those who enjoyed the day itself.

Perhaps your local school fete was exceptional this year, the Olympic Torch relay made you proud of your local community, or Pride showcased what is great about Sussex.

Award winners will be announced at a glitzy awards night held at Theatre Royal Brighton hosted by newsreader Nicholas Owen in October.
