Profile: Nick Hemmings, the songwriter behind The Leisure Society, first formed a band in Burton-upon-Trent with film-maker Shane Meadows and actor Paddy Considine and he provided the soundtrack to A Room For Romeo Brass and Dead Man’s Shoes. He was also guitarist with Creation-signed act The Telescopes.
The Leisure Society was reborn in 2005 when Nick started playing with singer Christian Hardy. The Leisure Society's first single Last Of The Melting Snow is out on Monday, December 15. It will be followed in March by the album The Sleeper.
