Having established themselves on the Brighton scene with the legendary Club Sea Power nights, Brighton’s own Mercury Music Prize nominees are back with a new monthly night.
British Sea Power is curating this new club night every first Friday of the month, which features a live set by the band – often in different experimental configurations and styles – followed by handpicked special guests.
Each night will also feature the chance to get a limited edition CD of new and experimental music from the hosts.
For this launch event the band is playing two sets, with special appearances by MC Jock Scot and Y Niwl, followed by DJ sets from British Sea Power and the Born Bad team.
Already confirmed for next month’s show, on Friday, February 3, is a DJ set from BBC 6Music’s breakfast host Shaun Keaveny.
Krankenhaus 1 is at The Haunt, in Pool Valley, Brighton, on Jan 6, 7.30pm to 3am, £12.50, £4 from 11.30pm after band performance, season ticket for six Krankenhaus nights £60, visit the website at www.thehauntbrighton.co.uk
