PEACEHAVEN last night appointed Darren Freeman as their new manager.
The former Albion favourite and Whitehawk boss will work closely with existing head coach Tony Coade at the Piddinghoe Avenue club.
Freeman will be joined by Ross Standen, who will act as assistant manager as well as goalkeeper coach.
Freeman led Whitehawk on a meteoric rise from County League football to Conference south in four years before he was axed by the club in January 2014.
Magpies chairman Brian Suckling said:“We are delighted to get someone of Darren’s quality and it shows we really are back in business.”
