Gus Poyet has predicted Stephen Dobbie will make a “fantastic” impact for Albion.
But the Seagulls boss admits his recent signing has not yet fully settled into his new club’s style of play.
Dobbie has yet to score since his switch from Swansea City.
But Poyet reckons his four deadline-day signings have all made progress and is excited about what his Scottish attacker can contribute.
He said: “Stephen Dobbie is going to be fantastic for us, I am 100% sure of that.
“It is just a matter of time before he will click in the way we play.
“He will score a goal and from then on he will be a key part of the future.”
Poyet feels the new quartet have shown signs of what they can offer at The Amex.
He added: “Everyone knew what Dean Hammond would bring.
“Probably because of his performance at home against Ipswich, Andrea Orlandi was the one who caught the eye the most because you can see his quality on the ball.
“David Lopez had a very, very good full game against Derby. I think the link between him and Bruno for 90 minutes was a key part to our offensive actions and he is a different option to what we are used to on the right side.
“He was ready to go against Millwall but it was my decision not to play him because Millwall away is a special game.
“When we got to Derby I could not hold him any more because he deserved to have a chance.”
Regulars such as Gordon Greer, Liam Bridcutt and Ashley Barnes have been given extra time to rest during the international break.
Will Buckley, Craig Mackail-Smith, Andrew Crofts, Will Hoskins and Vicente will be involved with the main group in training next week after recovering from injury.
Poyet said: “The medical reports tell me Vicente is coming back to train with us on Tuesday.
“I need to go with that. Then, if he doesn’t come back to train on Tuesday with us, it’s because something happened in these three days.
“Normally he should be training with us - but don’t ask me if he will be ready for Saturday.
“It’s a matter of seeing how he is.”
