Crawley Town consolidated their position at the top of League Two with a 3-1 victory over ten-man Dagenham and Redbridge at Broadfield Stadium.
Oliver Lee gave the visitors the lead in the ninth minute when his free kick was fumbled over the line by Scott Shearer.
The game was turned on its head seven minutes later when Scott Doe was sent off for bringing down Matt Tubbs in the area.
Tubbs picked himself up to score his 50th goal for Crawley by driving the penalty high to Chris Lewington's right.
Sergio Torres put Reds in front in first half injury time after John Akinde had cleverly cut back a long ball from Josh Simpson into his path to sidefoot home from eight yards.
Reds had to wait until the 85th minute to kill the game off due to the brilliance of Lewington who made half a dozen good stops.
He kept out efforts from Kyle McFadzean, Scott Neilson, Dannie Bulman, Jon-Paul Pittman and Torres before finally being beaten in bizarre circumstances.
A shot from Tubbs looped across goal to Jon-Paul Pittman who nodded it in from close range only for Crawley's celebrations to be cut short by the linesman's flag. After a long discussion with the referee the goal was awarded to finally kill off a brave effort from Dagenham.
