Gus Poyet has been confirmed as the Championship manager of the month for August after Albion's unbeaten start to the season.
The Seagulls head to Bristol City tomorrow on top of the table with 13 points out of 15, following wins against Doncaster, Peterborough, Portsmouth and Cardiff and a home draw with Blackpool.
They are also through to a home tie against Liverpool in round three of the Carling Cup after knocking out Gillingham and Sunderland at The Amex.
Poyet said: "This is credit to everyone at the club but especially the staff at the training ground and, of course the players.
"The way we play individuals don't stand out so much. The award is recognition for the whole squad."
Crawley's Steve Evans missed out on the League Two award. That went instead to Rotherham chief Andy Scott.
