Eastbourne Borough have been relegated from Blue Square Bet premier.
A 1-1 draw at home to Kidderminster Harriers was not enough to keep them alive for another week although results elsewhere would have relegated them even if they had won.
Borough produced a much improved performance and will feel harshly done by as Kidderminsters's equaliser probably should not have stood due to a foul on goalkeeper Rikki Banks.
Richard Pacquette gave Borough the lead out of nowhere in the 29th minute as he turned on the edge of the area to send a low shot inside a post.
Pacquette had more chances to extend the lead in the second half as Borough dominated but the visitors snatched an equaliser in the 76th minute when Jamille Matt collided with Banks as they challenged for the ball and Tom Shaw put the loose ball away from close range.
Borough still had chances to win it with Steven Brinkhurst putting a good chance wide and Darren Baker also missing the target from close range.
