Steve Evans has set his side a target of four points from their back-to-back Conference games with in-form Wrexham.
The Dragons have won their last seven games to climb to fourth place and are unbeaten in 14 in the league.
Tomorrow’s game at the Broadfield, which comes a week before Reds’ historic FA Cup tie against Manchester United, is expected to attract a crowd of around 3,000, before the sides meet again at the Racecourse next Tuesday.
Evans said: “In an ideal world we would have gone into the game with three straight league wins but five points out of nine is still decent. Wrexham are the form side and I would take four points from the two games. But winning championships is a long haul. We have to disassociate ourselves from what Luton, Wimbledon and Wrexham are doing if we are going to win the title.”
Evans says the squad have benefitted from their warm-weather training break in Portugal and will have defender Dean Howell back after suspension. Kyle McFadzean, who pulled out of the England C international in midweek because of illness, should also be fit.
