Deniz Undav has sets his sights on the Euros – even if it is from the bench.

The on-loan Albion forward is poised to make his senior international debut for Germany when they face France tomorrow.

Undav has worked his way into the squad with his performances this season for Stuttgart, who are third in the Bundesliga.

He will have to await his chance in Lyon but is expected to get on at some stage.

Germany then host Holland in Frankfurt, where Bart Verbruggen will be in goal for the visitors.

Undav told a press conference: “I don't have a declaration of war.

“I try to help the team, to be positive, to bring a good mood.

“And if I should play, I will put my foot down.

“At a European Championship you don't need eleven but 23 players, who know and accept their roles."

Undav has thrived on his return to his native Germany but remains under contract with Albion until 2026.
