Albion are said to be the latest club to join the race to land Celtic striker, Odsonne Edouard.

Edouard, who scored 27 times last season, is one of the most in-demand strikers in Europe thanks to his form.

A host of clubs are said to be keen, with The Times claiming Brighton are the latest to enter the race.

It is believed a fee in the region of £30m will be demanded by the Bhoys, who are keen to keep hold of the Frenchman as they seek to make it ten titles in a row in Scotland.

That hasn't stopped Brighton fans from getting excited about the potential signing.

One wrote on Twitter: "This one makes a lot of sense to me, would be a very very good option and we could see Duffy included in the deal to make it financially viable for us.

"He’s a very talented player."

Another wrote: "Get rid of White and sign this lad. Everyone’s a winner."

And a third said: "We’re a club looking forward and he knows if he comes here he’d get to play every week and earn a move to a top side.

"There’s a reason Lallana joined us over other teams interested."

Albion have acted quickly this transfer window, securing three signings in quick succession.

The third, announced last week, was Belgian defender Lars Dendoncker on a two-year contract.

He followed former Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana and Dutch defender Joel Veltman to the Amex ahead of the 2020/21 season.
