ALBION could sign TWO new goalkeepers as back-up for undisputed No.1 Mathew Ryan.
Tim Krul and Niki Maenpaa are both likely to leave the Seagulls, The Argus understands.
And Christian Walton is being lined up for a loan return to Wigan Athletic.
Krul joined Albion at the end of last summer’s transfer window after a long association with Newcastle.
The Dutchman is out of contract and, although Albion have made it clear they are interested in retaining his services, he is keen to pursue the possibility of re-establishing himself as a first choice elsewhere.
The Seagulls have an option to keep Maenpaa but are reluctant to stand in the Finn’s way after one league start in three seasons.
Walton helped Wigan to the League One title last season.
The 22-year-old giant has also had temporary spells at Bury, home town club Plymouth, Luton and Southend.
Albion would be happy for Walton to continue his loan progression playing games in the Championship for Wigan.
Fulham’s ex-Tottenham goalkeeper David Button is a contender to replace Krul and Maenpaa.
Albion tried to sign Pau Lopez, another former Tottenham keeper, last summer.
Although the Spaniard is still of interest, he is Espanyol’s No.1 again after a season on loan to Tottenham without making an appearance.
