Albion have finally landed Florin Andone.
They have agreed to sign the Romanian international striker from Deportivo La Coruna for a bargain £5.25 million.
Andone will officially join the Seagulls on a five-year deal on June 8, the date the window opens for international transfers.
Albion almost signed Andone (below) at the end of last summer's transfer window and they were interested in him again in January.
They swooped to secure his services at the third time of asking after Deportivo were relegated from La Liga and slashed his buyout clause from £17.5 million to £5.25 million to cash in on a prime asset.
Boss Chris Hughton said: "We are delighted that Florin has agreed to join us. He is a player that we have tracked for some time and he will add a new dimension to our attacking options.
"He is a very hard-working player and has proven his quality at the highest level in Spain, as well as at international level. I am looking forward to working with him next season."
Andone, who can play as a lone No.9 or in a pair, scored 19 goals in 69 appearances across two seasons for Deportivo. They bought him for £4.1 million from Cordoba, where he scored 27 goals in 58 games in La Liga and the Spanish second division.
Andone moved to Spain from Botosani in northern Romania at the age of 12 after his father died in a car accident. The 5ft 11ins livewire started out with CD Castellon before spells with Villarreal and third tier Atletico Beleares (loan).
Andone (below) represented Romania in the 2016 Euro finals and has scored once in 21 appearances for his country.
He is Albion's second signing of the summer following the capture earlier this week of Nigerian international central defender Leon Balogun on a free transfer from Mainz.
