Albion and arch rivals Crystal Palace have agreed reduced ticket allocations for away fans on police advice for the first top flight clashes between the clubs since April 1981.

Palace will have 2,000 supporters at the Amex on November 28, Albion the same number for the return meeting at Selhurst Park on April 14.

Premier League rules normally allow for ten per cent of capacity for visiting clubs. That would have meant more than 3,000 Palace fans at the Amex for a Tuesday night game and over 2,500 Albion supporters at Selhurst.

Albion chief executive Paul Barber told The Argus: "This was a joint decision between the clubs and the Met and Sussex Police.

"It's an operational decision to ensure both games go off as smoothly and peacefully as possible."

BT Sport and the Premier League have agreed that Palace's visit next month, which falls on a live TV night, can be beamed back to Selhurst Park.

The April game could be beamed back to the Amex as well, depending on TV requirements and date confirmation.

Meanwhile, live TV arrangements for the final weekend in December, due to be announced today, have been delayed.

The Premier League say they have yet to be finalised and will now be confirmed as soon as possible.
