Albion are moving towards making Glenn Murray's loan switch from Bournemouth permanent.
Talks between the clubs are "ongoing", The Argus understands.
Murray has spearheaded the Seagulls' automatic promotion push in the Championship with 15 goals in 23 starts and three substitute appearances since rejoining the club on loan for the season last summer.
Murray, whose contract with Bournemouth is due to expire at the end of next season, said before the January transfer window opened: "As far as Bournemouth was left towards the end of last season, I wasn't involved much and I don't think I'm too much in the gaffer's plans, so yes it would be nice to get out and keep playing football."
