Kemy Agustien is still some distance from returning to first team contention for Albion, manager Chris Hughton has revealed.
Fresh light has been shed by Hughton on the injury issue which has sidelined the Dutch midfielder.
Hughton said: "At the moment he's still not fit. The problem we've had with Kemy in my period of time here is that I've just not been able to judge him.
"He's certainly still a fair way away, even once he is fit to train and be involved, from being match fit.
"It originally was a thigh strain but there have been some complications with it. He has broken down a few times which has ended up being a little bit frustrating.
"Sometimes that happens. We had that with Dale Stephens, who is now back in the fold.
"I've got no doubts he (Agustien) will be fit at some stage but right at this moment that's not the case."
Agustien made the last of his 17 appearances in 18 months with Albion in August.
