Steve Magoffin has signed a new two-year contract with Sussex which will keep him at the club until at least the end of the 2016 season.
The 34-year-old Australian was the leading wicket-taker in County Championship division one this season with a fantastic haul of 72 wickets at an average of 19.51.
It was his third season in Sussex colours, in which time he has taken 192 County Championship wickets.
Magoffin, who has topped the Sussex wicket-taking charts in all three of his seasons at Hove, said: “I'm really pleased to sign on for another couple of years.
“I've been here for three seasons now and I've enjoyed every minute of it. I feel I'm playing really good cricket here at Sussex.
“It's been an incredible year for me personally, to do so well in the Championship and contribute to the team.
“The team is heading in the right direction and if I can go close to replicating some of those efforts from the past couple of years, then hopefully we can move up that ladder a bit further.”
Sussex Captain Ed Joyce said: “Steve has been the best seamer in division one for the last couple of seasons and we're blessed to have got his signature for another couple of years.
“He's a pleasure to captain and has grown into being an impressive leader for both the younger bowlers in the squad, and rest of the team in general.”
