Top scorer Matt Tubbs misses his third game through injury as Crawley attempt to end a run of five consecutive defeats at home to Crewe Alexandra.
Tubbs remains sidelined by a hamstring strain so Rory Fallon keeps his place in attack alongside Billy Clarke.
Boss John Gregory makes three changes to the side which lost 2-1 at Port Vale on Tuesday night, including a rare start for Gary Dicker in midfield in place of the suspended Dannie Bulman.
