Gus Poyet and Albion could move a step closer to an outcome to their dispute today.
The suspended Seagulls manager is due at a disciplinary hearing into alleged breach of contract.
His hearing was adjourned on Monday, according to the club for “disputed legal reasons”.
He is being represented by Richard Bevan, chief executive of the League Managers Association, who have spoken out in defence of Poyet.
Poyet is under contract at The Amex until 2016. The Argus understands no financial offer has been made to him to settle his dispute and sever his ties with the club.
Albion’s squad will report back for pre-season as scheduled next week, despite fears there would be a delay. Their first friendly, at Whitehawk, takes place a fortnight on Saturday.
Albion open their Championship season at Poyet’s former club Leeds on August 3 and host Derby County a week later.
