Albion boss Gus Poyet has hit back at Steve Bruce's verdict on Hull's 1-0 defeat at The Amex.

Hull chief Bruce claimed the Tigers could have won comfortably if they had taken their chances in the second half and not been denied by Seagulls keeper Tomasz Kuszczak.

Poyet said: "Well he didn't watch the first half, that's for sure. Do you remember a save by our goalkeeper in the first half or a shot on target (for Hull)?

"I thought games in England are 90 minutes, then if you want to see only the last 30 then yes it was open and our goalkeeper made two great saves.

"In the first half there was only one team on the pitch, absolutely only one trying to win the game.

"The other one was happy to have a 0-0. They changed it, probably because they were not happy with the game. They opened up and we opened up.

"It was unique. You never see my team playing like that normally. It was a bit crazy."
