The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh visited Brighton and Hove in March.

The Queen toured the theatre and watched a special concert to celebrate its 200-year anniversary, including a performance from students of Brighton and Hove Music and Performing Arts who were joined by singer Carleen Anderson.

The couple then watched a performance of the bicycle ballet from the balcony of the theatre before meeting and greeting people in New Road.

The Queen's next stop was at the Jubilee Library while Prince Philip visited a trapeze workshop at the Pavilion Theatre.

They also toured the Brighton Dome and the Corn Exchange and then had lunch at Brighton Racecourse.

In the afternoon the Queen visited the Roundabout Children's Centre in Whitehawk Road, Whitehawk, which provides services to children under five and their families, whilst Prince Philip visited The Crew Club in Coolham Drive, to officially open the new building, built for young people living in Whitehawk.
