While visiting Newcastle Gateshead last week I was delighted to discover their modern electric bus service (QuayLink) which runs every ten minutes between the station and all the tourist sights - the Baltic, Millennium Bridge, Sage, Laing Art Gallery - for a day ticket of £1.50. Such a simple idea.
Now why doesn't vibrant Brighton have such an eco-friendly and sustainable means of transporting tourists and locals between our station, the cultural quarter, the piers and the marina? What do we have? Tuk-tuks!
