After weeks of postal problems, countless calls from angry customers and a campaign by The Argus, Royal Mail bosses claim the nightmare is finally over.
Postal staff took me on a tour of the North Road depot in Brighton and said the backlog had been shifted for good.
In an interview, a manager blamed the disruption on union demands rather than management cost-cutting.
It comes a month after we launched our Sort It Out campaign to pile pressure on Royal Mail to improve the level of service to longsuffering customers.
Customers hailed our campaign and urged us to keep up the pressure on the company to ensure the problems do not return.
