Car-mad Mick Coles has "pimped" his ride to make it louder than Concorde.
The 41-year-old window cleaner's red van has a £20,000 state-of-the-art stereo.
When it's turned up to maximum, the sound system can pump out an incredible 150db - louder than the supersonic jet Concorde.
When it ruled the sky, the white delta-winged craft's engines could hit 115db, but that pales in comparison with Mick's souped-up 1993 Vauxhall Combo van.
The van rivals anything featured on the hit MTV show Pimp My Ride, where ordinary bangers are kitted out with the best car accessories.
Mick boasts the van is his pride and joy and loves watching people's reactions when he flicks the magic switch and breaks their golden silences.
Mick, from Worthing, said: "Since I left school and got my first car I've been into my stereos, but it's grown as I've gotten older.
"As they say the difference between boys and men is just the price of their toys really.
"Some people give you the odd look but I take no notice. It's not always cranked up to full all of the time simply because I can't sit in there for too long."
When Mike is not cleaning windows or listening to music, he's busy entering and winning car audio system competitions with his van.
The European Mobile Media Association (Emma) Car Sound Quality and Loudness competition is the Formula 1 of the car sound system world - and leading the field is Worthing-based specialists Highdown Car Audio, which fitted-out Mick's van.
Company owner Jeremy Owen said: "The van took about a year to build but it's an ongoing project that's changed and fine-tuned in response to what the judges think.
"We've got more than 10,000 watts root mean square power. That's real power generating a lot of music. The components for this retails for more than £20,000 and that does not include labour. It's serious car audio."
Alongside Mick, Jeremy's 17-year-old son James Jarrett is also cleaning up at the Emma competitions and has been described as the Lewis Hamilton of the car audio world.
The different rounds of Emma are held all over the country and are split into different categories, SQ for sound quality and SPL for loudness.
Mick's van is unique in that it competes in both categories and is aiming for a world first by coming top in both.
The van is already topping the league for the loudest in Britain, but still has a bit of catching up to do in sound quality.
