Visiting football fans were arrested for chanting homophobic abuse at the Amex on the same night that Millwall and Albion signed an anti-homophobia charter.
Sussex Police arrested three Millwall fans during Albion’s clash with their South London rivals on Tuesday night for using threatening, abusive or insulting words.
The fans were among seven arrested at the American Express Community Stadium after fans and police clashed at half-time in the South Stand of the ground.
One police officer sprayed fans with pepper spray in an attempt to control the situation while one visiting supporter was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.
