A flood-damaged library is to reopen on limited hours.
Hangleton Library, in Hove, will open its doors for the first time in more than a month on December 3, after a range of repairs and drying out work is completed.
Repair work will still con- tinue, meaning the library will open Tuesdays to Fridays between 2pm and 5.30pm, and from 9.30am to 1pm and then 2pm to 4pm on Saturdays.
The library will need to close for two weeks in the new year for further refurbishment before reopening on full hours.
Brighton and Hove City Council cabinet member for culture Geoffrey Bowden said: “This particular cloud will have a silver lining as Hangleton Library will emerge from this flood looking better than it did before.”
