Brighton Fringe has appointed Julian Caddy, former director and co-founder of Sweet Venues is joining Brighton Fringe as its new managing director.
As a venue producer, artistic director and promoter Julian has programmed and presented more than 500 shows (theatre, comedy, dance, music, musicals and opera) over the last 14 years. His professional experience covers the worlds of both live and recorded arts and, indeed, across the world itself.
He co-founded and was Director of Sweet Venues for 8 years, with seasons at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, co-productions at the Adelaide, Avignon and Montreal Fringe Festivals, as well as seasons in London and tours around the UK. Over the years, Julian has become a prominent figure at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, speaking on behalf of venue producers on a variety of issues.
