A university's summer graduations got under way yesterday as the first students collected their certificates.
Students from the University of Sussex had the opportunity to celebrate their achievements at a ceremony at Brighton Dome.
They were watched on by their proud families and friends as their qualifications were presented by the university’s chancellor, Sanjeev Bhaskar.
There was also the chance to watch the ceremony live on the university’s website.
More students will collect their qualifications today, alongside musician Jeff Beck, who has been made an honorary doctor of music.
2,335 students, from 90 countries, will graduate in this year’s summer ceremonies.
