Elton John was the Rock-it Man in Hove last night.
Thousands of fans packed into Sussex County Cricket Ground to see the superstar belt out hits including Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting), Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Tiny Dancer among a whole host of classics.
He last played the venue in 2006 and he was once again met with blazing sunshine and hot temperatures.
He told the crowd: “It’s always sunny when I play here so I should play here all the time.”
He also gave a shout out to nearby residents who could watch the concert from the comfort of their balconies overlooking the cricket ground.
Wearing a black embroidered jacket and purple glasses, Elton was met with a host of lookalikes.
Don't miss today's Argus for an eight-page picture special from the concert.
