A road was closed for almost three hours after a motorcyclist crashed into a stationary lorry.
The collision happened near to Hove Lagoon, Kingsway, Hove, at 7.26am today, at the junction of Saxon Road.
The motorcyclist was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, with leg injuries which were not life-threatening.
The lorry driver was uninjured as he had parked up and was not in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Sussex Police was forced to close the road until 10.15am because of a large fuel spillage from the motorcycle, which caused traffic chaos.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service sent two appliances to help clear the fuel from the road.
