A skateboarding dog has been warned to stop his tricks or face an As-bone.
Lakeland Terrier Bodhi can often be seen on four wheels in the North Laine.
And although the fast-moving mutt has proved a smash hit with most city shoppers a Brighton and Hove City Council warden has told Bodhi’s owner to halt his hound’s antics.
Jonathan Fell said the officer ordered him not to let his pet skate without a leash in the North Laine area after a complaint that Bodhi was not wearing a lead.
The 52-year-old said: “As far as I am concerned if Bodhi is under control he is not causing a problem.
“And he is always under control. If I call him he comes to me and sits.”
A Brighton and Hove City Council spokesman said: “We’ve told the owner that his dog is very welcome to carry on skateboarding in our parks.
“But following a complaint from a member of the public we’ve had to remind him that dogs have to be kept on leads on roads and pavements for very good safety reasons.
“Should the rules be breached further we may be forced to issue the dog with an As-bone.”
