A zoo has celebrated the new year with several new arrivals.
Drusillas Park, in Alfriston, near Lewes, is already home to hundreds of creatures but it will introduce four gregarious Colobus Monkeys into the zoo in February.
Arriving from Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, the troop of one male, Elgan, and three females, Opet, Isis and Hathar, will form a breeding group.
Drusillas has also created more Close Encounter animal experiences, allowing the public to get nose-to-nose with some furry and feathered favourites.
Experiences include A Morning with the Squirrel Monkeys, Lunch with the Lemurs, Meerkat Meeting, Tea with the Racoons, Penguin Feeding, Snuggle up with a Snake and Tickle a Tarantula.
Work has begun on a new walk-through aviary where visitors can feed rainbow lorikeets.
Lory Landing will be at the former Parrot Falls aviary, which is being enlarged and renovated in time for May half-term.
The zoo is also expecting the births of tiny emperor tamarins, binturong, silvery marmosets, squirrel monkeys and beavers.
