Two homes were flooded after heavy rain caused the drains outside to overflow.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service crews from Hove attended Applesham Avenue, Hove, at 11.55pm yesterday, after the occupants of the properties reported water running in through the front door.
The water caused damage to the carpets and firefighters called Brighton and Hove City Council to come and unblock the drains.
