Albion manager Mark McGhee today backed John Piercy to overcome his injury problems.
Piercy has made 21 appearances in total for the Seagulls, but he has only stayed on the pitch for 90 minutes once.
That was against Wycombe at Withdean on Boxing Day, when the former Tottenham utility player scored twice in a 4-0 victory.
Piercy's hopes of staging a repeat at Wycombe on Saturday are under threat from an ankle injury sustained in the win last weekend against Plymouth.
McGhee said: "His left ankle is swollen and very badly bruised, but we are not too concerned that it is serious.
"We will try to get him fit for Saturday. He could end up playing in the next three games or miss them all, it's difficult to say."
McGhee also has a problem with cover on the bench for goalkeeper Ben Roberts after Michel Kuipers suffered a knee injury in training.
He will use coach John Keeley or sign another keeper without using up the one loan he has left.
