A comedian is calling on people to put the woolly jumpers they got for Christmas to good use.
Matt Whistler wants to set up a National Woolly Jumper Day to encourage residents to wrap up warm and turn down their heating.
He will officially launch the event on Wednesday on Hove seafront.
It is not the first time Mr Whistler has organised an unusual event.
Other activities he has taken part in include handing out invisible flyers for a show during Brighton Festival Fringe, organising a speaker’s corner at The Level in Brighton and attempting to smash all of Evel Knievel’s world records.
Anyone interested in taking part in National Woolly Jumper Day can meet the group on Wednesday at noon next to the Meeting Place Café on Hove seafront.
