Train “strikes” have hit trains between Sussex and the capital.
First Capital Connect has cancelled dozens of services between Brighton and London as there are “not enough drivers” to man the trains.
But it has been revealed the disruption is due to a pay dispute between the company and its staff.
The unofficial strike action has left passengers not knowing which trains are running until hours before they are due to travel.
A spokesman for FCC confirmed a day’s timetable could not be confirmed until the evening before.
He advised passengers to check www.firstcapitalconnect.co.uk for the latest information.
