A jealous girlfriend killed herself after her boyfriend arranged a meeting with his ex.
Antonella Maio was found hanging at her Worthing home just 24 hours after arguing with David Tanner.
The body of the 28-year-old, who had recently been prescribed anti-depressants, was discovered by her horrified boyfriend.
An inquest was told Miss Maio always expected “a lot of commitment” from her relationships and got angry when life did not go “her way”.
The former care worker’s father Luigi, told the inquest that he thought his daughter was suicidal.
In a statement read to the court Mr Maio, 56, of Marlborough Road, Worthing, said: “When she had relationships she really wanted a lot of commitment and she wanted the same back, but the world doesn’t work like that.”
Penelope Schofield, West Sussex coroner, recorded a verdict of death by hanging.
She said: “Despite the fact there was no suicide note, I’m still satisfied beyond reasonable doubt that Antonella took her own life.
“Clearly by the number of people here today she was a much loved person and I offer my sincerest condolences to everyone involved.”
