A man was found dead on Hove beach this morning.
The man, who was in his 20s was found on the grassy area near the beach oppostite Kings House in Hove at about 7am.
Police were called to the scene following reports that he was "not moving".
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said this morning: "We had a medical concern with a street sleeper.
"We were called at about 7am to reports of a man not moving.
"He is in his 20s and was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital.
"It is not thought to be suspicious. He did not have any obvious injuries and did not appear to have been attacked."
Police confirmed this evening that the man had been dead when officers arrived at the scene.
Police are not investigating but the Brighton and Hove coroner has been informed.
