Another big cat has been spotted in Sussex.
There have been a number of sightings over the past year of large exotic cats, bigger than dogs, strolling across the Sussex countryside.
Now a man who had always been wary of the sightings has reported spotting a big cat.
The man, known only as Mr Castleden, reported seeing a black leopard at Angmering Park Estate, Arundel.
Big cat expert Neil Arnold said: “It's likely he observed a young black leopard, proof that more than one of the species roams the territory of 50-60 square miles.
“Meanwhile on the same night between Horam and Chiddingly a larger black leopard was seen.
“The animal was described as the size of a roe deer, black in colour with a long tail and was observed from a distance of 100 yards.”
Last week golf pro Ian Campbell reported seeing a 'lynx' like animal emerge from the bushes at Brighton and Hove golf course.
