We have seven games to play, 21 points to play for. We are 21 points behind 5th bottom so on Saturday, when we travel to Forest Green, relegation could be confirmed, something if we're honest we've known for a while.

It's been a long hard season for those in black and red, not least the fans who have persevered through pretty tough times. Still, though, we battle on and still we are rarely beaten comfortably, with teams being made to work hard for the points against us which unfortunately are all but secured if they score the first goal.

To his credit, Rhys Henry has made a difference recently, his pace and direct running have made him a nuisance to opposition but we can't seem to get that elusive goal to win a point.

Anyway, I wanted this week's blog to focus on the players, in particular Joe Keehan.

When Kevin Keehan brought his son Joe into the club, he took an awful lot of stick, along the lines of, "he's only playing because of his dad" and "daddy's boy" etc. but he's proved in recent weeks he deserves his place in the team and has shown himself to be capable of holding his own in the side. All right, he doesn't light up the Conference but at the same time he hasn't looked divisions and divisions above his level which is what he was quoted as being pre-season. I hope whoever comes in next season realises this and keeps him at the club.

He's also the top scorer which, for a player who started the season defensive midfield, isn't bad.

The other player that I wanted to mention was Chris Breach who, alongside Keehan, is one of the youngest old heads in the squad! He came well recommended from the Bognor fans and apart from a recent dip in form has done extremely well and is another I hope we keep next season.

Last week saw the longest trip of the season up to Barrow - well done to those who made it to see a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the side who stuffed us 3-0 here just before the televised game.

It's Forest Green up next, one of just four teams we have beaten this season. We could really do with a win in this game, or even just a point to stop the run.

Thanks for reading this extremely short blog! Fingers crossed I have more to talk about next time.
