What an eventful week. Makes a change from me moaning about very little happening recently, I even had time to write a blog about something else.

Firstly we faced a Mansfield side who we were unlucky against in the home tie. We lost 1-0 but the reports from those at the ground were good. We had, by and large, defended well and managed to put a bit of pressure of the home side's goal. Then came Rushden away. They stuffed us 4-0 last time we played them live on Setanta and having lost 13 in a row before hand we were expecting the worst.

By all accounts we, again, did well but, again, couldn't score more than the opposition (apparently that's quite important) and lost. It came out about 30 minutes after kick off that Kevin Keehan had resigned citing it was best for Lewes.

Many fans had been desperate for this for a while, for me it's unimportant. I think the fact the manager has gone has overshadowed the problems off the pitch. We certainly looked more competitive on Saturday but Keehan leaving doesn't wipe off the debts, it doesn't clear the winding up order nor does it stop administration looming.

Even so, Saturday's atmosphere was better than in recent matches and the fans got behind the team, in particular Joe Keehan, who has taken a lot of stick this season as a rebound from his dad, most of it undeserved.

He has shown in recent weeks he can hold his own in this team and certainly hasn't looked like he's way above his level.

So anyway, Ibbo's been made caretaker manager until the end of the season in a move which has been widely praised by the fans. He's an extremely good coach, knows the club and having worked with the u18s knows their strengths and weaknesses.

It's the long one on Saturday, away to Barrow. This blogger probably won't make it but to those that do well done.

Hopefully we can get a result there and pick up a few points between now and May to not come bottom.

Thanks for reading.
