Sadly, this blog's title is as true as ever. We've heard nothing new on the investment front, seem days away from administration and we lost a derby, 5-1. Not much to cheer about right now for Lewes fans.

Unless of course you count the return of the fans team about to put their 100% record up to a mighty test versus Kidderminster who beat our only ever opponents, Eastbourne, 17-2! We, erm, beat them 5-3 so we're in for a tough game.

Dave Poutney, the Kiddy manager, tells me if all goes to plan we will be their 50th different opponent, not just 50th, but 50th DIFFERENT. They, in comparison, are our second, all set for a Lewes win then.

The game against Boro was a laugh and here's hoping for a similar game against the Harriers. We've got about 12/13 players signed up to play but we'd happily accept applications for water boy, linesman, physio etc etc!

Back to the first team now and on to the 5-1 defeat at the hands of Crawley. 2-0 down after 4 minutes, poor, atrocious and avoidable. 4-0 at half-time, game over, nothing to play for. It's the first time this season I think we've got the result we deserve (of the games I've seen).

The league table doesn't lie and it makes pretty nice reading if you're looking at someone else's newspaper. Unfortunately the reality is we are going down, down how far is anyone's guess. Blue Square south is the obvious place but if we go into administration, all sorts of problems could arise surround our place in the Conference leagues. With a bit of luck, we'll go down one league and start again. And I mean start again.

We need a fresh start, a fresh outlook. The players need to get out of their system they are beat at 1-0 down, we need to make changes to the side where possible and make better use of our youth system. The guys there won't all come through and play at this level but we're going down so now is the time to rotate a few of them in and out to test them and have a look.

I hope for our club's sake we don't lose the more talented ones, Rivers, Wheeler, Foreman etc, as they have proved this season they will be able to cope in BSS with some solid, if not outstanding, performances. Wheeler is the only exception to that as I think he's played himself into an almost undroppable, indispensable position.

Next up we face Histon. Second in the table and not doing too badly. I was quite impressed the last time I saw them but we nicked a 1-1 draw away at their place.

As much as I can't see it, I'm keeping everything crossed for a Rooks win.

Thanks for reading.
