Sussex MPs have vowed to take the plight of selfemployed Territorial Army heroes facing a future on the dole to the top of Government.
Yesterday The Argus exclusively revealed that TA troops from the county were struggling to find work on returning from the frontline in Afghanistan.
Some were dismayed to find themselves jobless after putting life and limb on the line for Queen and country.
While the rights of employed TA soldiers were protected by law, The Argus discovered there was limited help for self-employed veterans.
MPs said The Argus had identified a loophole and were now lobbying the Defence Minister.
