A man has been found dead amid searches for a missing person.
Emergency services, including police and the ambulance service, attended an incident near the Old Racecourse in Lewes yesterday morning.
Sussex Police have since confirmed that the incident relates to a man they were searching for who was found dead.
A police spokesman said on Facebook: “We are extremely sorry to report that a man who was reported missing from Lewes yesterday has been found deceased.

“His next of kin have been informed and there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
“Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this tragic time.”
