A man has been taken to hospital after a “medical incident” on Brighton beach.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene of the incident near Shelter Hall earlier this evening.
Witnesses told The Argus they saw multiple police cars and ambulance vehicles along the seafront as the emergency services dealt with the situation.
Police were also seen directing people away from a section of the beach during the incident, with a gazebo set up close to the water.
Sussex Police said that a man was treated at the scene and has been taken to hospital.
A police spokesman said: “Emergency services were called to a medical incident at Brighton beach at about 5.45pm on Wednesday, September 13.
“A man was treated at the scene and was then taken to hospital.”
